Mindful Men was founded on a simple belief: men need spaces where they can speak honestly, feel understood and access support before things reach crisis point.
For many men, seeking support can feel difficult. Cultural expectations, stigma, fear of judgement and the pressure to simply “push through” often prevent people from reaching out until life becomes overwhelming.
Mindful Men was created to challenge that reality.
The goal was never to create just another clinical service. It was to create a space where men could have honest conversations, access professional support and feel understood without judgement, pressure or the expectation of having everything figured out.
Over time, Mindful Men grew into much more than a therapy service. It became a platform for advocacy, education, community conversations, professional training and men’s mental health awareness.
Today, that work continues as part of Here Point.
Mental health challenges affect people from all walks of life, but many men continue to face unique barriers when it comes to seeking support.
Men are often taught to:
While resilience and responsibility can be valuable qualities, carrying everything alone can come at a significant cost. Improving men’s mental health benefits everyone.
As the practice evolved, it became clear that the same values and approach resonated with a much broader audience.
People from different backgrounds, genders, professions and life stages were seeking support in similar ways.
The move to Tasmania also provided an opportunity to reflect on where the practice had been and where it was heading.
Here Point was created to carry forward everything that made Mindful Men successful while opening the door to a broader and more inclusive future.
Today, Here Point provides:
While continuing to support men’s mental health as an important part of the practice.

Providing practical information, resources and professional development opportunities.
Future programs and community initiatives designed to support connection, growth and wellbeing. As these programs develop, updates will be shared through Here Point.
